Lawyer who led challenge says those wanting to grow should hold off for now
A provincial law prohibiting Quebecers from growing cannabis at home has been deemed unconstitutional.
Quebec Superior Court Justice Manon Lavoie ruled the ban on growing cannabis for personal use amounts to criminal legislation, which is under federal jurisdiction.
But Julien Fortier, the lawyer who led the challenge, said those wanting to grow cannabis at home should hold off for now.
